Things To Do

We are very lucky to have many great attractions in Nantwich and the surrounding areas. We have plenty of lovely, independent shops within the centre of Nantwich for your pleasure, so please take a stroll around Pepper Street, The Square, Hospital Street & Pillory Street, to discover these little gems.

St. Mary’s Church

St. Mary’s Church is a must visit, and less than a minute walk from here. This Grade 1 listed building is known as the “Cathedral of South Cheshire” and considered to be one of finest medieval churches, not only in Cheshire, but the whole of England.
We are also very fortunate to have plenty of lovely cafes, pubs & restaurants. Whilst we would love you to dine with us (which we’re sure you will at some point during your stay) there is plenty to still explore. Please come and chat to us, we will happily advise you about where to go.

Chatwin’s Bakery

Chatwin’s Bakery is an iconic staple within Cheshire which was founded and still based in Nantwich. Please check out their delicious cakes & pastries. Their pork & apple pasty is to die for!!! They have shops located on Peeper Street & The Square.

Snugbury’s Ice Cream Shop

Another iconic Nantwich food establishment, located just outside the town, you’ll need to drive here, but it’s so worth it. They offer a mouth-watering 55 flavours, on a pretty cobbled courtyard, which you can then take a stroll around the surrounding countryside and take a look at their iconic hay structures.

Nantwich Museum

To discover the wonderful & rich history of Nantwich we recommend visiting the Nantwich Museum on Pillory Street.
At the museum you will learn all about the history of Nantwich, along with trails to follow and buildings to visit. Another great website is www.dabbersnantwich.me.uk 01270 610983, this website also gives you a trail to follow around Nantwich called ‘A Hidden Treasure’ which involves a 3mile walk but can be made shorter. You can collect an A4 flyer from the Civic Hall, literally just over the road from here.
